I BELIEVE that it is important that the residents of Bude are aware that Pegasus Retirement Homes Plc has submitted a new planning application to North Cornwall District Council for the Headland, JJ's Bar site.

The new plans are for four, four bedroomed terraced houses, two and a half storeys high with a pitched roof. The planning number is 2008/02382 and can be viewed on the NCDC website.
Pegasus Retirement Homes Plc have gone to appeal on their previous application to build 41 Category II sheltered apartments on the site, which has been refused by NCDC. The local inquiry for this appeal takes place on February 10 and 11 at The Falcon Hotel, Bude at 10am.
We must be vigilant and make sure that our concerns over these new plans are expressed to NCDC.
