THE MP for Torridge and West Devon welcomed a new development in Lifton this week and hopes similar schemes can be rolled out across the district.

Sir Geoffrey Cox cut the ribbon on the new rent-to-buy affordable local housing in Lifton on Monday, November 28. He also planted a tree in celebration.

Sir Geoffrey said: “I was proud to cut the ribbon on new rent-to-buy affordable local housing in Lifton today, meet the new residents who have just received the keys to their homes, and plant a tree in celebration.

“Congratulations to West Devon Borough Council for taking this brilliant initiative with RentPlus and South Devon Rural Housing with ore to come.

“I very much hope this model can be taken up in Torridge too.”
