THIS year's 'Tesco for Schools and Clubs' scheme has been a great success with local facilities set to receive lots of fantastic new equipment this term. To celebrate, the Launceston store welcomed North Cornwall MP Dan Rogerson and three local schools to the store on Friday, November 19. The nationwide scheme, now in its 20th year, enables UK schools and clubs to redeem vouchers from Tesco purchases for all sorts of amazing products from iMacs to drum kits and garden tools to tennis rackets. Over 40,000 schools and clubs in the UK have signed up to take part in the programme and last year alone, Tesco giving away over 430,000 pieces of equipment to schools and clubs worth a staggering £9.3 million. Schools and clubs around Launceston have received £22,740 worth of equipment.
