THE annual Christmas fayre for Cats Protection was held on Saturday, November 26 at Lifton Village Hall.
If another table had been needed, there would not have been room to fit it in; the hall was absolutely packed with a wonderful variety of items for sale. As soon as the doors opened, people were coming in and it was extremely busy the whole time.
There was a large selection of cakes on sale, to take away or enjoy there and then, with a ‘cuppa’ and a chat with like-minded cat supporters. There were also hot pasties on sale, and a raffle with a large variety of items to be won.
The event raised just over £1,400 — an amazing, surprising and most welcome amount.
Thanks have been extended to all who came and supported Cats Protection, as well as to all of the helpers needed to get the event up and running.
Patricia Clements, who, again, organised this fayre, stated she could not have put the event on without her ‘girls’, as she refers to them, putting in so much effort.
