ON A beautiful sunny afternoon in Kilkhampton, more than 80 people took part in a Countryfile village ramble, raising money for Children in Need.
The walk was led by Rev Richard Ward-Smith on Sunday, October 7, starting at St James’ Church, walking for an hour and a half, past the old castle, Cross cottage, Barn farm and returning to the Grenville rooms for a traditional cream tea and a raffle, which included a pink wheelbarow.
The event was organised by Katie Brind and Roly Nancekivell.
Katie said: “We would like to thank everyone who attended the day, baked scones, served cream teas, and the local businesses who donated raffle prizes.
“It was great to see so many people attend, it was a brilliant day had by all and made even better by the fact we raised £566 for Children in Need.”
