A MERGER between one Launceston based law firm and WBW Solicitors LLP will create one of the largest legal practices in the South West.

On January 1, WBW Solicitors LLP merged with Peters Langsford Davies LLP, based in Launceston.

Steve Bulman, manager partner of WBW, which has offices in Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, Exeter, and Torquay, said: “The new firm will create one of the largest legal practices in the South West, bringing together two long-established firms who will offer a full range of legal services to their current and future clients. Peters Langsford Davies share our approach to client care, personal service and quality assurance, and we believe both firms will be even stronger together.

He added: “Peters Langsford Davies was established in 1838 and they will continue to provide superb client care and deliver quality legal advice under the newly merged firm, in which Helen Davies will become a partner supported by a team of 180 members of staff.”

Helen Davies said: “I am excited about the merger. As well as releasing me from a lot of management responsibilities, leaving me free to focus on client work, it will give PLD the opportunity to offer a greater depth of expertise and range of services in Cornwall and beyond.”
