RESIDENTS of Kensey Valley are invited to attend an informal meeting at The Bell Inn, Launceston, on Monday, March 26 at 6pm to discuss a community action group.
Following some expressions of concerns of nuisance behaviour by some residents, speed and litter issues and continuing parking concerns, Cllr Gemma Massey, Cornwall Councillor (Lib Dem) for Launceston Central, has called the meeting for residents to come together and work on solutions as a community with the help of other external organisations.
She said: “Kensey Valley previously had an active residents’ association, so it is clear the area has a lot of positive, passionate and community spirited residents. I want to give them a platform to make an active difference to the immediate area where they live. I have spoken with many residents of late, who have expressed varying concerns to me. I invite them all now to come together and join me in setting the priorities, then creating some community actions for our desired outcomes.
“Change and progress is achievable if you work together with common aspirations.”
The invite was first shared on the Kensey Residents Facebook Page, where many residents expressed interest in attending the meeting. Small leaflets will also be being delivered in hope of reaching as many residents as possible and making them aware of this opportunity.
