THERE is a chance for people and organisations in and around the Bude area to find out more about putting together a community emergency plan at a free workshop on Monday, November 16.

Community emergency plans help communities to prepare for an emergency such as a flood or severe weather so that they can cope until help arrives from the blue light services.

Community emergency plans do not have to be long or complicated. The workshop will focus on developing a community plan and will provide templates, guidance and details of funding available.

There will also be a chance to see examples of community plans from other areas and to share good practice.

The session is open to the public and free of charge. The workshop takes place on Monday, November 16 at 7pm in the conference room of the Parkhouse Centre in Bude.

To book a place, contact Helen Couch on [email protected] or 01726 223673.
