HOLSWORTHY Luncheon Club has received a grant from the Surviving Winter Fund.

The Surviving Winter Fund is a scheme set up by the Devon Community Foundation to help people in need.

The money is raised by people pledging their winter fuel payment to the cause so that vulnerable people are able to stay warm, eat well and keep mobile over the winter months.

Martin Prentice, who helped obtain the funding for the club, said: "The Comic Relief money in this area is handled by Devon Community Foundation in Exeter (they administer the fund after it has been allocated)."
