THE Macular Society is thrilled to be able to bring the first ever Low Vision Roadshow to Launceston today (Thursday) from 10am until 3pm at the Central Methodist Church.
The event will showcase the latest products and technologies for those with low vision, and is a great chance to ‘try before you buy’.
Judy Pride, the regional manager for the society, said: “I am really pleased that the companies who provide this very special equipment are coming to Launceston, as the nearest location to see this kind of technology is Plymouth, and I’m sure that there are local people with low vision who will be interested in finding out what’s on offer.
“The British Wireless for the Blind and Blind Veterans UK will also be there, so this really is a great opportunity for anyone with low vision to get local support.”
