CHEQUES were presented from this year’s Launceston carnival to local charities and organisations at the town hall on Monday, November 9. Receiving cheques were Launceston Foodbank, Police Cadets, Little Red Bus, Oksigen Theatre Group, Windmill Samba Band, Launceston College Samba Band, Launceston Town Band, Launceston Minis RFC, Launceston Volunteer First Aid Service. A further presentation of a bottle of wine went to Rob Tremain, pictured second right in the back row, who collected the most money in bucket number 13 with a total of £121.29. The total raised on carnival night through bucket collections was £895.44.
