'INCONSIDERATE' dog owners should be doing more to clean up after their pets, according to Launceston mayor Dave Gordon. He says he has noticed an increase in fouling across certain areas of the town — St John's Road, Tavistock Road and Dunheved Road are among the main areas of concern. Cllr Gordon wants everyone to play a part in helping to eradicate the problem. He said: "It's the small minority of dog owners, by no means the majority. It's one or two in each area. "Bags are available; the town council will provide free bags if people want them. It's also down to others who witness anything to record it. With only one dog warden in this area of the county, people have little deterrent." For the full report, and a round up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
