AT LAUNCESTON on Saturday, campaigners were out in force to object to a plan that would remove part of the Millennium Avenue of 100 oak trees along the Link Road.
AS revealed in the 'Post,' five oak trees are to be moved from Launceston's Millennium Avenue (Link Road) to make way for a multi-million development.
Following a site meeting on land south-east of Pennygillam, the 'Post' was able confirm that five of the 100 trees would be moved, according to planners.
The trees are expected to be moved from the site entrance to an alternative location in the development.
Launceston in Bloom chairwoman Margaret Wills has regularly responded to plans that affect the 100 oak trees since plans were announced in August last year.
