WELL?DONE:?Staff at Launceston's Cedar Grange Care Home are celebrating having completed their 162 mile 'Cycle the Company' relay challenge. The ride took place on Sunday October 3, with members of the team at Launceston joining staff from other Cornwall Care Homes across the county in taking part. Samantha Coburn, care practitioner; Michelle Kaine, care practitioner; Kelly Hooper, care practitioner; Liam Tucker, housekeeping team; Emma Marks, care assistant and Johno Tamblyn, housekeeping team took part and raised money for Cedar Grange which will go towards outings, events and Christmas presents for residents and clients. Douglas Webb, Chief Executive of Cornwall Care said: "Every penny raised from this fantastic challenge will go towards helping our clients live full, vibrant and happy lives well into their older age. I am incredibly proud of our dedicated staff for taking on this challenge and for the lengths they go to every day in supporting and caring for our residents." The 43 cyclists that took part visited all 18 of Cornwall's care homes and are on course to meet the £10,000 fundraising target, which they will use to support older people.
