LAUNCESTON based artist Christopher Branham has won the West Country award at London's 2011 ING Discerning Eye Exhibition.

The nationwide competition was judged by six figures from the art world who earlier this year independently selected artwork to be featured in the exhibition from thousands of nationwide entries. The prizes were awarded from those selected at the exhibition on Sunday night.

The ING Discerning Eye show maintains an excellent reputation among art lovers and collectors alike for its unique and highly personal approach to exhibiting the works, which include a wide selection of paintings and prints, drawing, photography and sculpture.
