A LARGE crowd is expected on the Castle Green, Launceston, next Monday (June 22) at 10.30am when the town will be part of a national initiative to 'Fly the Flag for our Armed Forces.'
Launceston is one of only seven towns in Cornwall to be selected to take part in this act of public recognition to the efforts and sacrifices of all members of the armed forces.
Although representatives from all the local veteran forces organisations are being invited, it is open to all members of the public, young or old, civilians or service personnel, to attend and pay their personal homage.
The members of the public are being asked to attend at 10.15am in preparation for the raising of the flag 15 minutes later.
