WEEK St Mary's annual scarecrow festival ran between Monday, August 23 and Monday, August 30, along with a celebratory barbecue on Saturday, August 28.

The festival was organised by Cathie and Chris Jordan, and a total of 38 entries were received amidst a magnificent response from the village. The entries were judged on the Tuesday by independent judges from North Petherwin, Jenny Campbell and Brian Morgan.

Both Jenny and Brian found it extremely difficult to decide winners as several entries were extremely close. Their choices were well received and the high standards made for all the more enjoyable a week.
