MEMBERS of the Stourscombe Residents' Association (SRA) took part in a litter pick across the Launceston estates recently.

This was the sixth time this year members have head out to help clean up any rubbish left in the area, with items found this time round including paper cans, bottles, nappies and a wheel.

Chairman of the SRA, based in Launceston, Les Whaley said: "One of the reasons we at the SRA do a ready litter pick is that the estate is not covered by Cornwall Council Street Clean, as Cornwall Council take far to long on the adoption of new estates from the developer — even after the developer has left the area for some years and has paid a lot of money into the council."
