A YOUTH club has launched a fundraiser in a bid to raise £5,000 to continue its operations.

Holsworthy Youth Club has said that it aims to raise the money in order to continue its work helping young residents in the town.

A spokesperson for Holsworthy Youth Club said: “Our local youth club is a safe, welcoming space where young people can grow, learn, and build real friendships. We offer creative activities, emotional support, and opportunities to develop valuable life skills. This is achieved through weekly open access youth sessions led by a team of qualified youth workers.

“One of our most exciting projects is our open-access music resources — a space where young people can learn instruments, record their own music, and collaborate with experienced music tutors. It’s a powerful way for them to express themselves, grow in confidence, and build positive connections through creativity.

“However, to continue providing these essential services and expand our offerings, we need your help. The demand for our programs is growing, and we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to thrive in a supportive environment.

“With your support, we aim to raise £5,000 to sustain our current initiatives and introduce new programs that will benefit even more young people in our community. Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference. Thank you so much for helping us support the next generation.”

The efforts come as the group received grant funding from Devon Music Education Hub.

The spokesperson added: “We are delighted to acknowledge the continued support of Devon Music Education Hub (DMEH) in funding our music project at Holsworthy Youth Club.

“Their contribution enables young people in our community to access new opportunities in music, develop the creativity and build confidence through making and enjoying music together.”
