Operation Shoebox, a volunteer based charity, collected food from members of the public to send to frontline troops in Afghanistan last Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The donations, made at Tesco in Launceston, will be packed into shoe boxes and with the help of the Ministry of Defence, sent out to troops all over Helmund Province. The boxes are distributed to those most in need, for example men and women who perhaps don't receive mail from family or friends.
