A FORMER journalist, who left almost £280,000 in his will for Alzheimer's Research UK, has been described as a 'very thoughtful and generous man' by his Holsworthy cousin.
The late Michael Harnell, who lived in Exeter all his life and spent his career with the Express & Echo newspaper, donated a gift of £279,933 to the dementia research charity in memory of his mother, Freda, who died with Alzheimer's disease 15 years ago.
