LEWANNICK Primary School recently held a fun day to raise money towards new equipment.
To kick off the fundraising, the preschool children did a sponsored toddle, and some parents took part in a sponsored five-mile run. To finish the fundraising, Lewannick School held a summer fun day with a barbeque, bouncy castle and other fun activities for all.
The total amount raised was £1,000, which will now fund new equipment for the preschool and toddler group to enhance their learning and enjoyment of the early years of education.
A spokesperson for Lewannick preschool said: “Everyone seemed to have a great time, and the bouncy castle was very popular, as expected.
“We’d like to thank Tesco Launceston for their donation of the bread rolls, and also the Archer Arms in the village for providing the bouncy castle and the barbecue meats. Without them, we wouldn’t have been able to have raised so much.”
