New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Cornwall’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Castle Chicken House, at 39 Fore Street, Callington, Cornwall was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 1.

And Rami's, at Ramis, 39 Market Jew Street, Penzance, Cornwall was given a score of one on May 1.

It means that of Cornwall's 425 takeaways with ratings, 299 (70%) have ratings of five and just four have zero ratings.
