THE Launceston Agricultural Show Annual General Meeting was held at the Eagle House on Tuesday, October 30.
A presentation was made to the retiring president, Eric Uglow and his wife Sue. The 2019 show sees Mr Mike Bearns as president, Mike has been involved with the show for many years. The president elect for the 2020 show is to be Mrs Jill Stevenson — the first time a woman has taken the role.
The officers whom were present, Robert Tucker (chair) Peter Stevenson (treasurer), Julian Stanbury (show field director).
This year the committee sees a number of new elected officers including vice chair, Claire Humber, assistant show yard director, Andrew Hosking and show secretary, Claire Fry.
The 2019 Launceston show was confirmed to be Thursday, July 25 and looks set to be as successful as it has been in previous years.
