AT LAST some fine weather to bowl in, which inspired Dunheved's 'A' and 'B' teams.

The first game of the week was the 'B' team away to the green of the moment, Stratton. A win for Dunheved 'B' beating Stratton 'C' 58-51 (4-1): J Hake, G Atherton, V Squire, P Vernon 17-16; L Daniel, M Emery, B Lane, P Hobbs 27-14; P Northmore, A Fry, F Maynard, M Wood 14-21.

The following evening the 'A' team tried their luck at Stratton. The scores were even 62-62 but the points go to Stratton (3-2): E Cockwill, B Davey, D Bennett, D Bridgman 16-18; M Gregory, B Kirby, B Harris, P Prynne 22-26; R Gribble, C Down, B Keighley, C Fishleigh 24-18.

Second game of the week for the 'A' team was against Bodmin 'B'. This was a home fixture played in great conditions. A win for Dunheved 64-45 (4-1): M Gregory, B Kirby, B Harris, P Prynne 32-16; E Cockwill, G Littlejohns, D Bennett, D Bridgman 20-13; R Gribble, G Davey, B Keighley, C Fishleigh 12-16.

Ladies

The ladies played their Top Team against Callington on Friday night, a close encounter with some close scores, however Callington won 4-1: 2 wood singles, M Gribble 11-18; 4 wood, J Prynne 16-22; Pairs, B Chanter, F Wood 24-11; Triples, D Symons, A Japes, M Lane 12-22; Fours, G Jones, Claire Fishleigh, B Isaac, A Wooldridge 17-22.
