A father and son from Launceston took on the London Marathon and were delighted with their performance — despite the son leaving his father in the dust.

Town councillor Davey Green ran the London Marathon on Sunday with his son, Ryan Green.

Ryan left his dad behind at mile 15 and ended up with a new personal best of 4hrs 44minutes.

A proud father, Davey finished an hour later but he says his son was “quickly forgiven”.
