Dan Rogerson, North Cornwall's MP, opened the Autumn Parish Fun Day at North Petherwin on Saturday, September 19 in aid of funds for the maintenance and upkeep of the Parish Hall. The marquee contained various stalls, a raffle and tombola, together with the fancy dress, cakes,

vegetables and miniature garden competitions. The ladies and men's skittles clubs organised a competition inside the building. The Dog Show was a great success and teas were provided by the WI and local school children performed their award winning 'Wake and Shake' routine. The event was well supported and it is hoped that it will become an annual event for the village. Just over £700 was raised and thanks have been extended to all who helped to make the day such a success.
