AN expanding Bude firm, which is hoping to create more than 50 jobs in the area, has been praised by North Cornwall MP Dan Rogerson.

Water Powered Technologies Ltd (WPT) is building a brand new research and development site and is expanding its range of environmental technology services.

Designer of the award winning zero energy PAPA Pump, WPT provides solutions for businesses that want to save water and cut down on bills.

The firm's patented range of services also offers flood alleviation and water quality benefits.

Liberal Democrat Mr Rogerson visited to check on progress at the site and to hear the company's plans for the future. He also saw a demonstration of how a new zero energy rainwater harvesting system can help people save water and alleviate flood risk.
