THE sun came out just in time for crowds to venture up to Launceston Castle grounds and enjoy an afternoon of poetry, music and children’s entertainment last week — celebrating the centenary of the birth of late Launceston poet, Charles Causley.
There were special performances by local writers and musicians, including Launceston College music students, Jim Causley — a distant relative of Charles, Anna Maria Murphy and Cahal Dallat, as well as past artists in residence of Cyprus Well, on Thursday August 24.
For younger visitors there was facepainting, a bouncy castle and Lego to entertain.
