SIXTEEN members of the Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Tamar Group were led on a picturesque walk around Morwenstow recently by member Alan Rowland. Starting at Rectory Tea Rooms they followed the footpath that links the church to the manor houses of Tonacombe, Stanbury and Eastaway, through rolling farmland and forest glades before turning west to the cliffs. As they approached the cliffs, the slight mist lifted, revealing calm cobalt blue seas. After a pause at Sharpnose Point they turned inland along the diverse habitats afforded by the Tidna Valley's shrubs, trees and stream, before returning to Rectory Tea Rooms for refreshments. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
