A COUPLE, living at Cedar Grange nursing home in Launceston, have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently.
Cornwall Care have said: “We are committed to putting on events and activities for our residents, making their every day special in some way, and our staff at Cedar Grange do a brilliant job of this.”
When Nancy and Bruce Kent had their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this year, staff at Cedar Grange went out of their way to create a special celebration, providing the happy couple with a very special cake from the kitchen, which was shared by residents and staff.
Lisa O’Shea, home manager, also popped down to congratulate the couple and they were presented with matching photo frames, containing their photos from the happy day.
One lovely touch to the day was when Nancy and Bruce were given Holy Communion and a blessing from the Rev Theresa Folland (pictured right, with the couple). It was a rainy day outside, but it oozed sunshine and warmth inside the home.
The day turned out to be a very enjoyable time for both Bruce and Nancy, and one to be thankful for, for the years shared in a loving relationship and a day to look forward to remembering in many years to come.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Care said: “We are so proud of our staff across our homes for enabling our residents and their families to share these special moments.”
