LAUNCESTON LADIES league team played at Carlyon Bay on Monday 13th unlucky for some but not for Launceston when the result was a win of 4-3 in heavy showery conditions. Well done to the team for another away win playing members were Carole Hutchinson lost, Liz Hicks won, Barbara Murton won, Irene Butler lost, Val Raine won, Mavis Wright lost, Rosemary Feierabend won.
On Wednesday July 15, ninety six ladies played in the Open an individual stableford off full handicap for silver and bronze players. We were extremely lucky with the weather the only mainly dry day of the 'Open Week' and pleasantly warm. Many visitors commenting on a 'very enjoyable day and excellent course' which is always good to hear.
Overall winner was Debbie Thomas winning the Bet Sluggett Salver with 38 points, runner-up winning the 'Castle Cup' for the best Launceston lady was Liz Hicks with 37 points.

Best back 9: Wendy Collins 20pts. Best front 9: Linda Mullins 18pts. Nearest the pins on 9th, 12th, and 15th were Jenny Seabourne, Gill Aveyard Truro, Sue Carveth Perranporth.
There were only four two's winning 26 balls each Sue Carveth on 9th and 15th, Joy McPherson on 15th, and Gill Aveyard on 12th.
The ladies Captain Teona Chegwyn thanked everyone for attending and ended her speech by wishing everyone a safe journey home.
