A WORLD War One photograph dated 1917 and a certificate from after the war have been presented to the Launceston branch of the Royal British Legion. The photograph, from Jean and her brother Les Sandercock, shows men from Launceston in the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry in India in 1917. Among the group is Jean and Les' father, Herbert Sandercock. The certificate was given to Herbert by the Launceston mayor, W G Thompson in 1919, on his return after the war.
