A LAUNCESTON resident said she had a lucky escape after "tons" of rubble from the cliff face near the Zig Zag path fell into her garden, writes Suzanne Cleave. Mrs Neda Taylor has lived at her home at the bottom of the Zig Zag for 18 years. At around 11pm on January 16, Mrs Taylor was made aware of the incident when she heard a tremendous noise. She explained: "I heard a thump of a noise and I was really frightened to death. I thought what the hell is happening, and obviously I didn't know until I went to the top of my garden. I saw all this mass of debris that had slid down. "It was a tremendous noise. It was very loud and it was very scary. I could have been underneath it. It could have killed me or someone in my family. I thought it may have been a car falling down from the garage on Dockacre Road." When she went to investigate what had happened, she was faced with a large amount of rubble in her garden and pond. "I was obviously open mouthed and I couldn't believe my eyes. I didn't think before that something would happen. I've lived here for 18 years and never had a problem with the face."
