A LAUNCESTON man will be taking part in a charity football match in London in memory of Jenny Kerwood, who died suddenly last year from a rare heart defect.

Michael Doble, who attended Launceston College before moving to Bristol, will be taking part in the charity match at Forest School, Snarebrook, London, on Saturday, March 23.

His flatmate, Ross Kerwood, unexpectedly lost his sister due to a cardiac arrest while she was playing football, a similar incident happened to professional footballer Fabrice Mwamba at around the same time.

The match has been organised in Jenny's memory by Ross and his cousin and will be raising money for the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).
