The Rotary Club of Bude's Charity Walk took place on the now-familiar beach and coastal path route on Sunday, October 10. Over 150 of all ages arrived well in time for the start at 1pm, well before the extra-low tide at 2pm.
Conditions were absolutely ideal, the breeze was very welcome with the sun out and the temperature going over 20C.
The total funds raised for the charities and clubs in the area has reached nearly £4,000 and 80 per cent will be presented to them on Monday, November 8 at The Falcon Hotel, Bude, at 7pm. The remaining 20 per cent will be added to Rotary's charity fund in Bude to be donated later in the year to a local fund. Thanks have been expressed to the Bude RNLI and Surf Club for their valuable advice and assistance.
As in previous years, Margaret Frost provided cream teas at the Tea Room on the route at Northcott Mouth with all income, around £350, going to the Bude Town Band who played there during the afternoon.
