PE TEACHER, Martin Reay, from Budehaven Community School, was recently presented with a finalist Teacher of the Year Award at the Sky Sports Living for Sport Awards 2011.

Martin joined two other teacher finalists, plus 12 regional Student of the Year finalists, from across the UK at a glittering awards ceremony held at Wembley Stadium, where Olympic sprint legend and Sky Sports Living for Sport Ambassador Darren Campbell presented his award.

Martin stood out as a clear winner because his Sky Sports Living for Sport project clearly demonstrated how the initiative can assist in integrating pupils from all walks of life, as well as improve confidence, self-esteem and social skills.

Martin has been responsible for Budehaven Community School's Sky Sports Living for Sports projects for the last six years.
