MEMBERS of Bude Explorer Scout Unit planted over 130 trees at the Hele Valley trail, Marhamchurch, recently. There were a range of trees from cherry, crab apple, rowan and birch as well as two Royal oaks which are being specially planted this year to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee — all provided by the Woodland Trust. There were also some fir trees planted, which were grown from seeds collected from Brownsea Island, the birth place of Scouting.
