BUDE residents turned out in force on Saturday to register their deep concern over the loss of the Serco out of hours GP service at Stratton — and to call for the decision to be reversed forthwith. The Parkhouse Centre was jam-packed with more than 400 people, many standing at the back and sides of the hall and appeals were made to them to squeeze up to make room for others queuing outside and anxious to take part.
The meeting follows the controversial decision to re-locate the Serco nightime and weekend out of hours GP services to Launceston — where the GP and doctor and a car are now based.
