The Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak will be fined by the police for attending parties during the lockdown. It has been confirmed by No 10 that the pair have been notified by the Metropolitan police that they would be given fixed penalty notices.

The alleged Covid law-breaking is being investigated by The Met at 12 gatherings in Whitehall and Downing Street. There have already been 50 fines handed out.
