A CHEQUE for £10,000 has been presented to the children's oncology unit at Derriford Hospital.
The cheque was presented on Monday by Bob Johns, founder and one of the trustees of the Robert Johns' Leukaemia Fund (RJLF).
The money was raised through the fund providing weddings bars and a bar for the Launceston banger club as well as through a gospel evening with Twin Harmony and a concert with the Mousehole Male Voice Choir at Week St Mary Church.
Mr Johns said: "I want to thank everybody for their support over the 12 months."
The fund has also sent £6,000 to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
The RJLF was formed in 1983 in memory of Robert, son of Bob, who fought the disease for five long years but unfortunately lost the battle at age 11.
