ENTERPRISING student Bella Webb at The Dean Academy has been putting her business skills into practice to raise money for the cancer charity Macmillan.
As part of her business studies course at the Lydney school, the Year Ten pupil set up a car washing station in the academy's car park.
She said: "I wanted the profits from this to go to Macmillan because members of my family have been affected by cancer and it is a great charity."
Last term the academy raised more than £600 for Macmillan and held a special assembly for students highlighting the realities and statistics of the disease.
The academy's network manager, Kevin Hacker will be embarking on a 300-mile cycle ride from London to Paris on July 1 to raise money for the charity.
He said: "Macmillan help support people through the difficult times that come with a cancer diagnosis; they are an incredible charity."
