SEVENTEEN artists displayed their work at St Swithin’s Church, Launcells, from Thursday, June 8 to Saturday, June 10 as part of an art exhibition and sale.
Treasurer, Lilian Quinn, said: “The standard of their work was incredible – absolutely first class. The church was filled with a riot of colour which, together with the floral displays, was a pleasure to see. Everyone who came was impressed, enjoyed the food, bought items from our bric-a-brac stall, bought raffle tickets and enjoyed the conversation.”
“We’d also like to say thanks to all the volunteers who helped in many ways – we are very lucky at St. Swithin’s to have them as they work very hard. Several of the artists asked if we would be prepared to stage such an event again next year and hopefully we will.”
