West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision on the junction of Lysten Lane and A466 Wormelow, near Ross-on-Wye.

The incident happened on Saturday, June 20th just after 10pm.

A blue Volkswagen Polo was travelling along the A466 from Hereford towards Monmouth, a Vauxhall Zafira was travelling in the opposite direction; these vehicles then collided at the junction of Lysten Lane.

The driver of the Vauxhall Zafira, a woman in her late 40s, sustained a serious leg and pelvic injury and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Volkswagen Polo, a 25-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Police are eager to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it. Information can be given to police by calling 101 quoting incident 651s of June 20th.
