BUDE 41 Platoon of the ACF has enjoyed another successful year and has been privileged to take part at events in the Bude area.

Events included taking part in the Bude Lifeboat Run as participants and manning the water station, the Battle of Britain memorial parade at Kilkhampton, the Bude at War weekend and the annual Poppy Appeal collection and Remembrance Sunday parade.

Family, friends and members of the Royal British Legion joined the cadets at their annual presentation evening on December 11 to celebrate the achievements of the platoon, both as individuals and as a whole.

The Royal British Legion presented Mrs Cowling of the ACF with a certificate in recognition of the £1,260.65 collected at Morrisons for the Poppy Appeal for which the cadets packed shoppers’ bags and sold poppies.

A spokesperson for the cadets said: “Thank you to the manager and staff of Morrisons for hosting the event and to the Royal British Legion for their continued support.”

Bude 41 Platoon parade on Monday evenings from 6.30pm until 9.30pm. To learn more, feel free to go along, and details are available at armycadets.com/county/cornwall-acf
