HOLSWORTHY is to be hit with the loss of another of the town's services as the Register Office, at the Market Hall, is set to close from March 31.

Facilities for registering births and deaths were available at the Market Hall, on Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings, but residents of the town and surrounding parishes will have to travel as far as places such as Barnstaple and Exeter as the county council closes a number of outstations.

Residents of the Holsworthy area will still be able to use services at the Register Office in Bude.
