THE annual Active Learning Week for all Year 7, 8 and 9 students at Launceston College took place from July 2 to 6.
During the week some students took part in residential trips to Paris, London, Harlyn, Roadford, and a football tour of the North of England. A group of students cycled from Ilfracombe to Plymouth, camping on route.
The group of students visiting Paris stayed in a Disney hotel and spent two days in the Disney and MGM Studio theme parks as well as seeing the sites of Paris.
During their time in London our students visited the Houses of Parliament and were lucky enough to have their photo taken outside 10 Downing Street.
On the football tour of the North of England the students visited Old Trafford, home of Manchester Utd, and Anfield, home of Liverpool FC, and attended the opening day of the National Football Museum.
Harlyn and Roadford Camps offered a variety of extreme sports activities together with some very wet tents!
Other students took part in daily activities — some of which were based in school and others visiting different venues throughout Cornwall and Devon.
For the full report, and a round up of the area news and sport, please see this week's edition of the 'Post'.
