HAINES Watts, a Top 20 firm of Chartered Accountants specialising in the owner managed business sector is offering a free seminar at the Eagle House Hotel, Launceston, on Tuesday, February 12.
The Haines Watts North Devon office, with clients across the South West from Minehead to Penzance, is offering this free service for employers to find out how the mandatory move to Real Time Information (RTI), which comes into force from April 6, will affect local business owners.
The Haines Watts Group is a national network with over 50 offices that each work independently to offer a wide range of services tailored to the local market and clients. The seminars will tackle head-on the impact of the new legislation to small and medium enterprises.
For the majority of employers, the mandatory move to RTI is April 6. Business owners will be required to submit information to HMRC every time they pay employees throughout the year. In April 2014 there will be no need to submit an employer annual return.
The seminar, jointly hosted by senior corporate manager Matthew Melksham, and Partner of Haines Watts North Devon LLP Jonathan Gifford, will run from 6.30pm for an hour at a number of local venues covering the impact of the new legislation, followed by a question and answer session.
Mr Gifford said: "RTI is such an important new regulation for business owners that we are not making any charge. The seminars will help employers understand the upcoming RTI legislation, what it will mean to their business operations and the new processing obligations.
"RTI is the biggest change for employers in nearly seven decades. This needn't be scary with good preparation. As well as RTI, we will be touching on a number of topical tax issues which business owners need to be aware of. This is also a great networking opportunity to meet like-minded business people."
