A VEHICLE has been destroyed following a car fire near Launceston.

Devon and Cornwall Police and Cornwall Fire Service were called to the A388 at St Giles on the Heath at around 9.35am today, July 17, following reports of a car fire.

Police have confirmed that as a result of the blaze, the vehicle has been destroyed, with one lane blocked at this time.

The force has added that the incident is ongoing.
