The town’s police have turned to the community for help after criminals are believed to have used tools to force entry into cash machines outside Morrison’s supermarket on Stucley Road and steal the funds inside.
Police report that officers were called at 1am on April 9, to reports of an alarm activation at the store.
With limited information regarding the incident at this time, the force has appealed for any information from local residents on the matter. However, police have expressed that they believe a blue car was involved and are currently working to establish the make and model of the vehicle.
A spokesperson from Bude Police said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation and looking to establish the circumstances and gather as much information which may assist us.
“Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour or vehicles in the area around this time is asked to report it to us. We’d also ask the community in the area to check dash-cam and doorbell footage from overnight.
“More information will be provided as we have it confirmed and we ask that people report information directly to us by calling 101 or via our website quoting log 26 of 9/4/26.
“The Public Enquiry Office at Bude Police Station is also open from 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday if you wish to report there.”
